startup over revving 850

Yes a clogged throttle can cause eratic idle speed,but if it comes down to correct idle after a delay the idle speed valve could be faulty or more likley sticking.This is often caused by carbon deposits etc and can be cleaned out o.k.
note....if you disconnect this valve with the key on it will store a DTC.
