Hi All,
I've search the forum and found similar problems but nothing that is like mine. My ECC system doesn't work AT ALL. Just blinking lights. No Heat/ No Air ... no blower.
Here's what I've done to date to try to solve this problem.
Replace resistor with new resistor.
Replace blower motor with recycled motor ( bench test works).
Here's a list of the error codes...
2-1-1 Driver's side damper motor position sensor open or shorted to 12 volts
2-3-3 Frost/Defrost damper motor position sensor open or shorted to 12 volts
3-1-1 Driver's side damper motor shorted to 12 volts
3-1-2 passengers side damper motor shorted to 12 volts
3-1-3 Ventilation damper motor shorted to 12 volts
3-1-4 Frost/Defrost damper motor shorted to 12 volts
3-1-5 Recirculation damper motor shorted to 12 volts
3-2-3 Ventilation damper motor active too long.
4-1-3 No control voltage at driver's side interior temp sensor inlet fan
4-1-6 No control voltage at passenger's side interior temp sensor inlet fan
4-1-7 Passenger's side interior temperature inlet fan seized.
4-1-8 No control signal to blower fan power stage.
I don't think I missed any, but they all point to almost all components in the ECC system and seems like the description says its "shorted to 12 volts" quite often. Is their a fuse or relay that can cause all these codes? Or do I just need to replace the whole ECC unit in the dash.
I've found this is a nice car be VERY expensive to maintain. I bought it about 4 yrs ago from the dealer with 62K miles. I've since put 70K more on the car and I've replaced the transmission twice (at my expense), found the evaporator is leaking, replaced the rotors, window motor, heated seat... all done at the dealer. As you may be able to tell I've recently stopped visiting my dealer and I'm trying to solve this issue without them :-)...
You're help would be greatly appreciated.
