Transmisson in '93 850

I understand the '93 had a different transmission than 94-97, my engine idles at normal, 800rpm according to my manual. The gear positioning was just fixed to correct a problem where the car was starting all the time in 3rd gear. Still, a little bump upon shifting into drive has me concerned, is this common? Anyone experience this?
