The sunroof shade on my '96 850 Turbo has gotten very loose on the left hand side and rattles in it's track. I have had an independent Volvo mechanic look at it and he tells me that the shade is held in place by two clips on each side and that the clips on the left side are probably broken or missing.
He also told me that these clips are not sold separately and that I would have to buy an entire new sun shade assembly at a price of $450+ just to have new clips.
Has anyone had this problem and if so, how did you go about solving it? I have thought about a salvage yard, but maybe these clips are available from one of the many Volvo parts suppliers that advertise on Brickboard.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Fred.
