I just bought an 850 and since I have been reading a couple of horror stories on this site about the timeing belt going out and destroying the engine. This scares me and is prompting me to change the timing belt because I have no service records from the previous owner. What other preventitive maintenance should I be aware of in order that something else like that does not happen? Including Oil changes, tranny flush, new tranny filter etc. Is there a list I should follow? I am willing, and would like to do as much of the work myself. But am willing to spend about $1000. Any comments or suggestions would be great. Also which changes can I do myself?
