I just got my car back from my indy, and its running!! Serpintine belt completely broke. Timing belt severely frayed on one of the edges and was starting to seperate, however a small portion of the belt was still intack, and remained on the crank and cam pullies. Failing waterpump was the culprit, on the timing belt. As for what caused the serpintine belt to go, just seems to be coinsidence that it went at the same time.
Looks like the Volvo Gods were looking nicely upon me last week!
