Instrument Cluster Failure 850

As a frequent visitor to the Brickboard site I have always found the information needed to resolve even the quirkiest issues with my 1997 850, but this one has me stumped.

Earlier today my wife drove the car to work with no problems, and assures me that everything was fine. When she returned home the odometer, speedometer, tripometer, fuel gauge, and temperature gauge all were not working.

After checking all of the fuses I'm about to delve into what I anticipate as being a long process of diagnosing this issue. Any advice on where to begin, or what was the solution if you've dealt with this?
