A small exhaust leak turned into a big one on my way home from work yesterday (you can see that the exhaust pipe broke right where it leaves the catalytic converter). I stopped by my local Volvo mechanic this morning to see what needed to be fixed . He told me I needed to replace the catalytic converter. Later in the day he called and told me to try and find one myself because if I bought the part through him it would cost $900. So I googled and found one for $274.
