lubricating the sunroof? 850 1995

My sunroof opens very very slowly, and occasionally won't open all the way. I think it just needs to be lubricated, but I don't know what the best way to do that is. Should I just spray the tracks with WD-40? I looked through the manual and I couldn't find anything about it, I suppose this the kind of thing they tell you to have the dealer do.
