Speedometer intermittent 850

Two issues...first, the Speedometer on my '97 855 T5 works intermittently after idling for a short period of time. Works fine at start up and as long as you drive and then it quits after coming to a stop and idling for more than a couple of minutes. Secondly...is there any way to tighten the rear view mirror? Mine is not good about staying in place and rattles. Is there a screw that needs to be tightened...and if so, where is it and how do I get to it? Thanks. dw
