Tranny Flush V70-XC70 2001

My 01 V70 T5 is due for a tranny flush.My good Volvo service mgr say regretably it will cost close to $500 because of the cost of the Volvo synthetic trans fluid($21 per qt)Can I use another synthetic,ie Mobile 1 @ $4.50 sans Volvo's syn? Ser mgr will do the labor($140) w/ my provided trans oil.
