V40 brakes S40-V40

To anyone that knows how to replace the pads on my brakes.

My V40 w/ 34000 miles is in need of new brakes. The dealer told me that my rear brakes are gone and my fronts are almost gone. It has been years since I have changed a set of brakes, and that was on an old dodge spirit of mine. Is there anything weird about volvo brakes, or any special tools required. After the $480 dealer price for the rear brakes alone, i figured I might have to give it a shot myself.
