Thought I'd give everyone an update.

Checked fuses and fuel pump relay. No difference. Every once in a while, I could get the car started by fluttering the gas, as if it had no choke, and it didn't seem to run properly.
Disconnected the AMM, and it started, and ran. Didn't drive it around however. Replugged the AMM back in and disconnected the batterty to clear the Engine Warning Light (which came on with the AMM disconnected) and reconnected the battery and AMM. Car seems to run fine now.
Prelim diagnosis seems to point to the AMM connector, which looked fine, but you never know. At least at this time the answer lies in basics which is check fuses, vacuum lines and connections. Although I'm still not quite sure that the connector was at fault, I will know over the next several days when I run the car.

Lastly, I live in the Northeast and it's probably essential that some dielectric grease be installed on any of these connections to protect against corrosion.
