Blower Motor Problem - Lost Speeds 1 & 2

I just replaced the switch with a brand new one, to no avail. With both the old switch and this new one, speeds one and two do not work but speeds three and four work fine. Would the resistor be the only other part that could cause this problem? Obviously the motor itself works. Where exactly is this resistor located? THANKS!
