blower motor 850 1993

My 850 has the ECC (not manual) system and I have pulled code 4-1-8 several times. This code says "no control signal to blower motor power stage". Has anyone encountered their blower motor coming after starting car and then, the blower quits working and come on again for a few days. When it comes on it will blow in "AUT" or manual at any speed I select on the rhiostat. Any suggestions before I buy a new power stage module or fan resisitor?
