Headlight Rock Chip Hole - Repair Advice S70

Hi there.

This week, I noticed a rock chip hole in the glass of one of my 2000 S70's headlights. The headlight still works and there is next to no water inside. The hole is about as wide as two pin holes and has completely penetrated the glass. I applied two layers of transparent duct tape over the hole to keep and water and moisture out for the time being.

I have recently read that it might be possible to repair/fill the hole with super glue and was wondering if this would do the trick.

Any thoughts about the type or brand of glue, how to apply it, as well as the downside of doing the repair this way would be appreciated.

Thank you for your assistance.
