Air bag servicing 850 1996

Hi All,

I have a '96 850 GLT. According to the driver side pillar sticker, I need to have the air bags serviced in January of 2006. Is this true? I heard that Volvo may have extended the service interval to 15 years. What are the details of the servicing? Replacing the bags and/or explosive charge? How much would this service cost? Thanks in advance.
