I have a check engine light on giving a 315 code. My mech says to replace the evap. valve, and if that doesn't work, the canister. I've already thrown about a grand at this problem and I want to know if anyone has a suggestion. There are a few clues that might help:
1. For some reason the "service" light comes on as well for about 10 mintues of driving after start up and then goes off.
2. The engine barely starts up after refueling and then after a few seconds comes back to life. Could the evap valve be sucking to many fumes?
3. The A.C. doesn't run cold when it's really hot outside. When it does function (@ about 75 deg. max), it makes a whistle/buzz sound off and on I think as the compressor starts up.
What do you think. I'm trying to sell the car soon because I have to and want it running in top condition for the next buyer.
Thanks.
