AC keeps kicking on and off with little to no cold air 850 1994

Exactly what the Subject says. I just brought it in to the AC guys and they filled it up and said they could not find any leaks, and the compressor just turns on and off really quick, like 5 second intervals? A possible switch problem? If so, how hard is it to do myself and how much would one cost, or if it is anything else, thanks!
