OK, so for the first time ever in the 11years of owning my car, the Tracs / ABS Lamps came on as should at start up, unfortunately they didn't go off. No problem I figure, must be a code recorded. Sure enough I read the code and proceeded to erase it. The Lamps are still remaining on, that is the problem. If I recall, after reading codes at least twice, you simply hold the button down for approx 8 seconds and wait for the led to come on and stay on (it did), then you hold the button again for approx 8 seconds, then when released the led should go off (it did). The codes should now be erased, right? The lamps are remaining on. I am assuming you use the same diagnostic port (A3 ABS) for erasing the codes?
What am I missing? Erasing and resetting lamps have never been an issue before.
TIA
