Hi Everyone,
Another AC problem......
Like everyone else with AC problems, my AC also runs cold to hot, cold to hot. RIDICULOUS!!! Now I have a new problem. Today I was running my AC. It was nice and cold until it ran about 30 minutes then it went warm. At this time I saw smoke coming from under my hood on the passenger's side. I stopped the car and got out to see what the problem might be. The smoke was coming from the bottom of the belt on the left side. A man walking by told me the flywheel to the AC unit was sticking/skipping. I could see this happening. It would turn then stop, turn then stop. I thought it was the belt but he said the belt was fine.
Does this make sense to anybody becacuse I have no idea what a flywheel is. I saw it but don't know what it is. Anybody know how I can stop it from skipping or sticking? Did I run out of freon or is this a much worse problem? Please HELP????? I hate to take it to the mechanic without any knowledge of the problem. If I do they'll tell me they have to replace the whole AC unit. Any info anyone out there would give to me will be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!! Thanks for your time in replying!!!!
