AC FLYWHEEL 850 1995

Hi Jot,

Sorry I never got back to you! My computer was done for awhile and I was on vacation for a couple of weeks. Thank you for your reply to my question about the smoke coming from my compressor. I now have a new problem and hope you can give me some info......

The problem was my compressor and it needed to be replaced. My husband just had open-heart surgery awhile ago and right now our money is tight!!! I could not afford a new compressor ($762.82) so I went to a very well known used parts store in my area and bought an 850 air compressor. It had been tested and worked great. I brought the compressor to my mechanic and he installed it for me. He also said the compressor worked great. The problem is that the car is not blowing any cold air at all. My mechanic put in one pound of R134A. Is this enough? What could be wrong here? Both the parts store and the mechanic say the compressor works great so why can't I get any cold air from the AC?

ANY help you would give me on this problem will be greatly appreciated!! I just don't know what to do here. I can return the compressor but, if it works, I'd like to keep it and find out if there's something else that needs to be done here. If you could send me some info on what to do I'd be so happy!! The mechanic just couldn't figure it out and didn't want to keep it for hours and have to charge me labor. I told him I could contact this board and hopefully get some answer to this problem. HELP!!!!!

Thank you very much for any help you would give to me!!!

Laurie
