AC noise on V40 S40-V40 2000

Our 2000 V40 AC makes terrible noises. The dealers never hear it.
The noise seems to be coming from under the hood at the right front. It is a swooshing, kind of scraping noise that is getting more prominent. Can anyone contribute any information on this?
I posted this question in July but can't seem to find my post regardless of my search query.
