Door Lock Assembly S70

I have a '99 S70 -- looks like the door lock assembly needs to replaced since the door lock knob pushes down but it doesn't actually lock (so says the mechanic). I want to try to replace it on my own -- has anyone done it before? Is it tricky or doable? I am not the craftiest person with cars but can manage. Thanks.
