Belt on right? S70

Robert,

Glad I could help. In answer to your questions, I have never used anything but a Volvo. I have used TRW and Continental belts before on my 760 Turbo, but never on any of these DOHC engines. If the price is close, I would use the Volvo belt. The risk is great if the belt is cheap and breaks (not that Continental makes a bad belt, I just prefer the OEM). As far as the cam sprocket holder goes, you COULD use one if you prefer. However, some of the ones that I have seen are more trouble than they are worth (they don't mesh with the teeth on the Volvo sprockets very well). If you use the trick I mentioned about going past the marks and then coming back (and if you're very careful not to bump the sprockets), the tool is by no means a necessity (I have never used one, not even once). As I said, if it makes you feel more comfortable, you could try one. I hope this helps, and let me know if there's anything else I can do.
