Replacing rear shocks 850

If this ends up a duplicate, I apologize--my other post seems to have disappeared into the 'ether'.

I agree that at 103K miles you should replace your shocks and your struts. It's probably better to replace them as a set as they all work together. The shocks are easy--jack the rear up (one side at a time if you wish) and lower onto a jackstand as you will need your jack. Put the jack under the rear suspension and raise slightly to take weight off shock--undo top nuts and main lower nut and lift the shock up thru the body. Put the new shock (with NEW shock mount) down thru the body--you may need to adjust the jack slightly up or down, mount it and tighten the nuts. Shouldn't take more than 30 minutes a side. No need to align for rear shocks, but if you do struts, then you need to align.

There IS an adjustment for rear alignment--part of rear swaybar attachment.
