Marty--haven't tried removing it yet because, like you, I was wondering whether it was Alcantar as the one post said, or genuine suede. Think I will stop by a dry cleaners and ask them what they use and afterwards to recondition the leather. Anything that will pull that small spot will pull the oil in the leather as well. Will keep you posted. Dick
