Strange 850 Brake Problems

A few weeks ago my ABS and Off Trac light began coming on intermittently. A short while after that, OCCASIONALLY when I would go to depress the brakes, there would be a lot of resistance and then seemed to "click" into place. Once they 'click' into place, then the ABS and Off Trc light comes on.
Well, today when I tried to depress the breaks, there was that resistance only this time they stayed that way for several miles as well as made a rubbing/scraping type noise. They did not go back to normal until I pulled over and press the brake hard... where they seemed to UNSTICK.
Does this sound like my breaks are sticking? If so what does it have to do with the off trac and ABS light? Why does the light come on AFTER the breaks go back to normal and NOT while they seem to stick?
