Blower/Power Loss Event 850 1993

Thanks, MIJ, for your thoughts. I've been having some other power issues since that post; see: Did I buy a lemon? question not too far up the line; that's me again. I'm dropping the car off at a non-Volvo, but trusted, mechanic tomorrow for an oil change and their take on the larger issue. They've been pretty good with my other Volvo, a 1990 240DL wagon. I've never gone to a dealer because of their notorious over-priced reputations, but yours is a good suggestion--to let them diagnose, which would probably be the most reliable. Thanks again.
