Opinions of rebuilt axles? 850 1996

I have a 1996 855 N/A automatic w/ 122k miles, and lo and behold, I've got clicking when making slow tight turns. The dealer says time to replace the axles, the boots are too far gone. Cost is about $550(maybe a little less, can't remember) per axle with labor, which is a lot for essentially a 10 year old car.
FPC Groton has rebuilt ones for $95 each. Does anyone have any experience with rebuilds or words of caution/wisdom? I read some have had problems with reconditioned axles, but with such a huge difference in cost, I'm thinking it might be worth the small gamble. Any thoughts?
Thanks-
Michael
