Closed Fuel Loop - O2 sensor fault - 850 T5

Yesterday, the lambda sond warning light came on.
Last night I ran a diagnostic on the car and while I didn't come up with any fault codes, the ScanTool software did indicate "Closed Fuel Loop - O2 sensor fault." Has anyone had any experience with this diagnostic message and if so, what was the remedy? I did reset the chip which did turn off the lambda warning light but am curious if this is just an O2 sensor going south, or if it may indicate a greater or impending problem.
Thanks,
Armie
