850 AC recharge 850

Shouldn't have to short the switch connection to get it going unless your pressure switch is bad. I have to add a can of coolant every few weeks and my compressor doesn't stay on long when I first open the can. Try shaking the can and turning it upside down a few times. Don't leave it that way but a few SHORT inversions may help. If you can, set the coolant can it the warmest place possible. I have a rather long recharge hose and can put it on top of the intake manifold behind the radiator. The warm air helps increase the can pressure.
