trust me it wont work, i have tried to pry them apart and to slit the sealant etc.. it just doesn't work. a thin cut off wheel is the best way and you can control the penetration depth to prevent internal damage to th pcb. a long as its sealed again with sealant there is no problem as the metal posts hold it together.
