RPM gauge problem? S70 1999

Thanks for responding MIJ! :)

I change my oil religiously every 3k miles at Expressway. So the service light is definately not from the oil changes... i'm sure it has to do with the 60k Volvo service.
As far as the RPM guage goes, yeah i've never had any wires and spark plugs replaced... so thats what might be affecting it.
But I really don't want to take it to the service... they will charge be an arm and a leg... i'm sure you know this too. So i'm going to have to find a mechanic knowledgeable in Volvo cars and that's not a thief.
My transmission fluid was also changed as per Expressway guidelines (where I had it done). They suggested I changed it at 52K for my Volvo and I did for about $90. And I can feel the difference now, my gears are alot smoother, what a world of a difference! The guy at Expressway even showed me the difference, between the old black fluid and the new pink one.
Anyways, thanks again for all yoru suggestions. I guess it will come down to finding somebody that I can trust with my car... because now my break pads are starting to go to. :(

Thanks!!! :)
