Did you use Volvo pads? they have shims laminated onto them, and are known to cure the squeak issue. i had the same squeaking problem, and it was eliminated after i put in the Vo-vo pads and some grease (Sylglide). I did not use any shims except for the ones already laminated onto the pads.
