oil return line V70-XC70 1998

I just replaced what was called the oil return line on my wifes 98 v70xc. This line is connected to the radiator just under the upper radiator hose. It is connected to a silver colored unit, along with another line, near the engine mount on the right front side of the car. It has a bilt in bracket that is held place with 10mm head bolt and held on to the silver colored device with a metal plate held with a screw that has torx-30 recess. What a mother it was to get to the screw. I am not sure what a dealer uses but I used a 1/4" drive handle with a flexible extension with a square to hex adapter to use a t-30 bit. Both of the lines were in the way of anything larger getting at the screw head and my combination would only alow about a 2/3 turn at a time to unscrew or screw back in. Any body got any better tools for changing this line out?
