V-70 stalling V70-XC70 2001

Cool.

How do you clean a mass air flow sensor? I've seen some early ones (1980s) which had a sturdy vane which was deflected by the air flow along with a resistance track to sense the deflection. The few recent ones I've ever looked at use a heated wire. I would think this was too delicate to clean without risk of breaking the wire (either now or during next year's family vacation).

Any chance there's a glitch of some kind in your gearbox causing the surge and stall?

Good luck!
