Done with Volvo...

have to take real issue about that....volvo TURBO's are very maintenance intensive, NA ones arnt...well thats our family experience and we have owened then from the 144 (including 144,245,744,745,745,945t,850). The ONLY one of these that was a nightmare was the 945t - the otheres were jsut like other cars - bettter than most IMHO, the LEAST maintenance intensive being the 850 but NOTE it isnt the turbo, if you look att most of the issues with 850's they are turbo/gearbox related and certainly a LOT of the gearbox issues are on turbo's (or due to not having the fluid changed!) - simply you put 260 bhp through that drive chain and it get expensive!

Most of our havent had aircon so cant really comment on that but the one in the 850 has been fine so far - but you cant really EXPECT the sweeds to know lots about aircon!

Th brakes on the 850 eat pads/disks/calipers but thats what you get for getting GREAT brakes...you get nothing for nothing!

I THINK one of the problems here is people expect volvo's never to need routine maintenance and that a t5 is going to be as 'abusable' as a 740 b230e...well it aint! Thats no reflection on a t5 a 940t wasnt EITHER go read turbo bricks the 740T isnt EITHER...
