Done with Volvo...

VR,

I had a similar experience with my 1998 Volvo V70XC. Lots of problems, which were a fortune to fix. I lived in fear of my wife calling with another report of a new problem. While I loved the seats and the safety I thought we were getting, we just didn't feel like we could count on the car any longer. My wife often talked about her love-hate relationship. Every problem caused the years of hate to bubble up. Within a few weeks of fixing the problem (and spending the inevitable cash), she would declare that she was back in love with the car.

We eventually traded for a Honda Pilot back in April. I asked my wife the other day if she misses the Cross Country. She said "No way. I love the Pilot." We expect a low-hassle future with the Honda.

Good luck.
