Broken directional light cover - 850 1993

Hi. As I read these posts, I guess my "new" 1993 850GLT is the "black sheep," as someone else called it, of these models. I am severely depressed. Meanwhile, a shopping cart slammed into my car, breaking the left front (driver's side)directional light cover. Mechanic quoted the part at around $50, with $20 labor, and calling it an easy fix. Sooooooooo, only owning it since the summer, and already putting way too much unexpected $$$$ into it, I am wondering if I could get this part more cheaply somewhere, and put it in myself. (I am a non-mechanical person, inexperienced, but not stupid.) If I found one in a junkyard, would it be obvious, how to remove it? If I went to a parts store, either online or in person, could you recommend a good one? Thanks!
