Help Me Please!!!!
New Volvo owner with a used Volvo V70 XC. Symptom: #1 Vibration at acceleration from a dead stop that resolves itself at speed. #2 Whining or groaning noise that increases in volume at speed but is worse at some times more than other times. I brought it to the dealer and they told me it needed a viscous coupling, angle gear, and a drive shaft with carrier bearing. Could I possibly need all three items at a cost of nearly $8k.
Needles to say I picked up the car promptly and have located a viscous coupling that I will pick up tomorrow. Any insight from anyone who is familiar with these symptoms and parts would be greatly appreciated!!!
