Locked gas door V70-XC70 2002

This is for a V70 XC 2002. I press the release and nothing happens. I'm getting pretty low on gas so I'm a little stressed. Looked in back, but nothing under the panel except for wires for the tail light. Any help would be greatly appreciated if anyone has any experience with this with their wagon.
