Mud packed in rear wheel well 850 1996

Whilst washing my 96 850 wagon i decided to run my hand all the way around all the wheel wells. Front wheel wells were a tight fit but they were pretty clean. The rear wells however were quite packed with mud ...

i don't drive on very dirty roads so i was curious to find out if anyone else has mud stacked in their rear wheel wells - especially towards the top outer wall

i had to scrape it quite readily to get it off - only then did my high pressure washer drain it away
