Front O2 Sensor question 850

May be a bum sensor or possibly you got the wrong one. Some vendors have the wrong sensor listed for the 96 850 which I found out the hard way. If you have the old one, ck the #'s to make sure they match. Also, make sure you don't have a big vacuum leak somewhere like at the elbow under the theromostat housing. Will make the mixture reallean which can throw that 02 sensor off.
