Service Light S70 1998

Hi - I have been doing some research on this topic and have come up with the following:-

Software at http://www.onboarddiagnostics.co.uk/shop/product_info.php?products_id=42

This software is the ONLY software which will reset the service light on the '98 S70 (there are I believe 2 other companies supplying software to be used with a computer to interface with the OBDII port on the car - however I have emails from them both to say that they can't reset the service light).

Hardware at http://www.andywhittaker.com/ecu/obdii_hardware.htm

and you'll need a computer with a serial interface (a USB to serial interface won't work) as well as a V24 serial cable (female to female). Total cost will be around US$270 (not including the computer) - bit more expensive than a dedicated tool, but you will get diagnostic capabilities as well as the service light reset.

Cheers, Phil
