Driver Door Lining Removal V70-XC70 1998

My wing mirror needs to be replaced and I have to remove the door lining of my 1998 V70 TDI to get the wiring disconnected. I have a Haynes manual for the 850, but the door lining attachment has changed with the redesign of the internals on the V70, and I'm worried about damaging the door lining if I just pull at it to remove it.

Can anyone tell me how to get the door lining out without damaging it?
