new tire and wheel question 850

Hi sciroccofahrer...

The lowering springs and 17x7 wheels will approximate the ride height/tire relationship of an "R" model, so the 45 series profile tire is appropriate.

I can't find the specs on Voxx wheel offsets, to determine if they are similar to OEM wheel offsets. Are you thinking of a set of the five spoke Voxx MG's? They seem to be the only wheel that Voxx makes with the correct 5-108 bolt pattern. With 215's it's going to be close. The "R" models use a 205.

If the tires are going to rub on the inner fender wells, it will occur when the steering is at full lock, and the car is in motion, slightly altering the camber.

The rears are no problem, but you're going to have to monitor what happens up front.

Wish I could be of more help.

Please keep us posted on what the results are. Various tire/wheel/suspension issues are common on this board, and we learn from each other when modifications (successful or unsuccessful) are made.

Good luck
