I never was in love with the 240 series. Way too many problems as far as I am concerned. The 7 and 9 series were much better. The 5 banger FWD is an excellent Volvo, but does have problems and is not a RWD to work on. The engine is a true piece of work being designed by Porsche. If you want a Volvo with no problems get a Toyota or Honda.

Just my opinion having owned Volved since '67
