Engine not heating up S70 1999

Good Morning, Cool weather has returned and my 99 S70 is running great, but does not "warm up" Drove it 55 miles this morning and the temp gauge barely moved. I'm guessing thermostat. And if so, I've never changed one on a Volvo so my questions are: Is this a most likely cause? Is it located in the water hose like most I'm familar with and is it "shade tree mechanic" friendly (can a book worm mechanic change one).

As usual, thanks to all for any help!

Wade
