Check engine light, no codes? 850

My 95 850 turbo gave me a flashing shift arrow and a check engine light...this is something that the car did a couple months ago. PNP switch acting up. So I repeated what I did to it previously... I turned the car off, turned the key to the 2 position and moved the shiftlever back and forth through the gears about 15 times. The flashing arrow and limp home mode went away.

The CEL still comes on, after the engine runs for about five seconds, and stays on, but I don't get a code from socket a-2 in the underhood diagnostic box.

Any ideas would be appreciated....

Thanks
